WPI Alumni Association

Traditions are what draw us in and pull us back. They are cherished and revered. They give us chills and create wonderful memories of times spent on campus. Upon them many great things can be built. They create the tie that binds the entire WPI community - the students, faculty, staff and alumni.

The WPI Alumni Association has experienced tremendous growth in a number of areas over the past few years. The organization awards nearly $50,000 in student scholarships annually.

Events and programs are developed and offered each year for alumni to connect back, either on campus or with alumni and friends across the the country.

A Brief History of the Alumni Association

The WPI Alumni Association (WPIAA) was founded by a small group of alumni who wanted to promote general interest in education and strengthen ties with the University and each other.

Now, after more than 100 years of involvement with WPI, the Alumni Association continues to develop new programs and ways to serve alumni and students. Guided by a Board of Directors and its own by-laws, the Assocation is led by alumni volunteer board members and officers.

The role of the Alumni Association has expanded significantly since its founding, becoming an integral part of the University campus community and acting as a bridge to the local and national communities. The Association provides opportunities for its alumni volunteers to participate in community service projects, to raise scholarships for students, and to join other graduates in alumni chapter activities across the country.
